Jimmy Salcedo y su Onda Tres - Maranguango on Famoso, original colombian press

One of Jimmy's best records. Surely the best for the colombian Famoso label. Includes two killer cuts: "Maranguango", a lovely piece of latin pop music for the dancefloor with catchy vocals and fuzz guitars, and the amazing instrumental "Moogambo" where Jimmy start freaking out with a Moog riding a strong funky rhythm. Rest of the LP is strongly influenced by Aldemaro Romero's Onda Nueva style (it's not a case if Jimmy's backing band is called Onda Tres), let's say some kind of colombian sunshine pop. Rare and very hard to find.

Record grading

Still Sealed - in factory-fresh condition

M- a near perfect, probably unplayed record

VG+ close to like new with only superficial signs of use that dont affect play. Only well cared for records will grade out to VG+. Will satisfy all but the most demanding collector.

VG  a used, reasonable copy. There will be obvious signs of wear and the possibility of light surface noise between tracks or during quiet passages, but still quite nice.

VG- significant wear and marks and usually quite noticeable surface noise.

G+ In the record world, 'Good' is not good! From here on down (Fair, Poor), we're talking about beat-up record
