Rare 2nd pressing OZ Mini LP released in 1981 on Prince Melon Records. Cat: PM05. For some reason this second pressing didn’t get the full original sleeve design. Maybe they where short of funds.. Also has 2 badly photocopied prints of the original inserts both in Excellent condition.
Based in Sydney, Australia, the Laughing Clowns were led by Ed Kuepper who formed the band in 1979 after leaving the Saints. The group rehearsed for six months before gigging, and the music that emerged was complex. As the original members, Louise Elliott (saxophone), Peter Doyle (trumpet), the Wallace-Crabbe brothers Ben and Dan (bass and keyboards, respectively), Peter Walsh (bass) and Jeffrey Wegener (drums), came from different disciplines such as jazz, many of Kuepper’s fans had difficulty appreciating what the band was attempting. The media found difficulties in pigeonholing the Laughing Clowns as easily as their contemporaries. Representative of their style, and an in-concert favourite, was ‘Eternally Yours’. Despite this lack of acceptance the band recorded regularly on independent labels (including their own, called Prince Melon).

Record is stunning and in Near Mint condition. Cover has light ring wear and marks and is in VG+ condition.
