Description

Laura Nyro:  “Eli & The Thirteenth Confession”       Columbia (CS 9626)

Laura Nyro's landmark debut record on the Columbia label.

Interestingly, David Geffen is noted on the jacket as "agent and friend".

This LP was pressed in 1970, two years following the initial release.  But note that this 1970 release made use of the exact same master cuts and lacquers as the 1968 release and is essentially a continuation of the first pressing.  (Hence, the original CS 9626 ID was retained.)  The original lyric insert was used for this release and is included with this offering.  In summary, this 1970 version features the exact high quality sound derived from the original master cuts and lacquers; only the look of the labels distinguishes this 1970 version.

Includes original lyrics sheet insert and CBS company inner sleeve.

                                                                                            (SEE PHOTOS)

Vinyl:  Near Mint

The wax looks and plays like new.  Brilliant sound on this well recorded LP.

Labels are bright and clean.                                                (SEE PHOTOS)

Jacket:  Near Mint

Jacket in just shy of "like new".

Light creases on front cover, which appear to me to be manufacturing defects, not storage damage.

A few trivial defects seen on top and bottom seams.

Spine is nearly perfect.  Spine print is crystal clear.

Includes original CBS company inner paper sleeve and the original lyric sheet insert, both in excellent condition.

                                                                                             (SEE PHOTOS)

You will be hard pressed to find a finer copy of this landmark Laura Nyro LP that isn't sealed.  Hoping this one goes to a good home.

My Profile / Policies:

Music is my passion.  I’ve been a collector for more than 50 years and have thousands of records in my personal collection, focused largely on 50’s and 60’s rock ‘n’ roll.  Recently retired, I look to downsize and sell select portions of my collection in hopes of financing future purchases of a few special pieces.

All records I offer are from my personal collection, each cleaned using my Nitty Gritty Record Cleaning Machine.

All are play graded (not just visually graded), employing Goldmine Price Guide standards.

As I take great care to accurately describe my items, I do not accept returns unless my item description is incorrect.

All records are packaged with the wax outside the jacket (to avoid seam split in transit), enclosed in a plastic sleeve and shipped in robust record mailer boxes via USPS Media Mail, tracking included.

Payment expected within 3 business days of auction closing.
