Description

1969 vintage 1st UK Release of Led Zeppelin’s debut LP. This version is preceded only by the infamous turquoise character cover which would sell for $1500-$2000 in this condition. First version with the red character cover-has 588171 and 589171 with the 588171(crossed out second 8 replaced with a 7 and 589171 crossed out 9 replaced by an 8) and A1 B1 matrices. Gray strip at the bottom of the front cover and plum/orange labels identifies this as a 1st UK release. We listened to this iconic lp in it’s entirety, and it is stunning. Mind blowing audio throughout, with John Bonham’s percussion efforts taking center stage. It sounds as if he’s playing in your living room! The UK first pressings have much richer audio than the latter versions that were sold in the USA. To the connoisseur, there’s really no comparison.

Super clear listen even in most quiet areas which is super rare with this lp. Very difficult to locate such a high quality example. Only real flaw we noticed is the small ink mark on the side 2 label which is rather insignificant in our opinion.
