Description

Up for sale today Led Zeppelin II, U.S. pressing Atlantic SD 8236. The cover is as you can see in pretty rough condition but still intact and classed as fair.  The Vinyl is in surprisingly good condition and doesn't have much spindle wear - graded as Very Good.  This is what I believe is known as a Half Lustig pressing as side one has been engineered by the fabled Robert Lustig.  You can read all about this pressing on Discogs but basically Robert Lustigs originial first U.S pressings were rejected by the head of Atlantic records.  He gave a copy to his daughter who played it on a Dansette type record player and the needle jumped and slid across the record.  It wasnt really designed to be played on this tinny record players.  The record was recalled and re pressed to a much quieter level.  Zep purists swear the Ludwig pressing is the best and this copy is engineered on the first side only by Robert Ludwig, hence has RL in the run out groove.  Side one definitely sounds more powerful than side two which is a bit quieter.  Great overall sound.

The records and outer cover and inners will all be packaged carefully and securely in a (recycled) LP mailer with stiff card protection.  I will post by 2nd class signed for in UK for £4.00 - £11.50 to EU countries and £13.50 rest of world.
I will combine postage to save on costs.
Overseas buyers read on: If you are bidding from overseas please be aware that it might take a while for the LP to reach your country due to lockdown restrictions at the present time.  And please, please dont pay me from overseas until you get an Invoice as I am not going to mail this LP out to your country at a domestic rate - sorry to sound like a school teacher but some people just dont get it!  As soon as you pay me I will post it out.
