Description

A 1st pressing of Zep II on the UK Atlantic label. Matrix A2/B2. Please note the labels still mention the track 'Lemon Song' - this is indicative of 1st press. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original light-brown cover printed by Ernest J Day. Also included is the original 'plastic bag warning' inner sleeve. So, 100% complete and 100% genuine.
Vinyl (Ex) In very nice condition and has clearly seen only light use. Under close inspection there are a couple of light marks either side - but nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT level of playback with one slight deviation. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. Interference is minor and only really vaguely noticeable in one track. Whole Lotta Love has obviously seen a bit more play than the other tracks so you're going to get a few crackles here and there. They're only really audible in the quieter sections and certainly nothing that really detracts. Overall a very fine pressing which more than does this Zep classic justice. Audio is always best on early Red & Plum.>>
Cover (Ex) These covers are a real pain to find in top condition because they were so prone to wear and ageing. This example has certainly survived the years better than many. Lovely clean front and back with only the light handling wear. There's no ageing apparent and those colours are all still nice and vivid. Edge wear, which is often the issue, is unusually light. Even the text on the spine is all still readable. The interior is pretty much immaculate. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity and lies very flat.
Inner (Ex) No issues and no splits.
