Description
This is an auction for Led Zeppelin III First UK pressing
Firstly, I am no vinyl dealer, therefore this listing may lack the proper descriptions but I will do my best to describe it in fine detail so the eventual purchaser receives exactly what they expect.
The gatefold cover......
Front
Top left, slight crease, see photo. Bottom right, even less noticeable crease. Slight yellowing of top and bottom edge, the rest has fading commensurate with the age.
Inside
The left side (wheel side) has come completely unstuck but it has done this neatly, I won't stick it myself, will leave that to someone who knows how to do it properly. The wheel moves nice and freely and there is no play on the spindle. The right side has started to come unstuck about 2 and a half inches in.
Back
Typical marks for the age with one fairly deep, about 2 inches long. Similar age fading to the front.
Spine
The spine isn't square, more like a 45 degree angle (see photo) but the text is complete.
There is no writing or stickers anywhere on the cover.
The Vinyl.......
Side one
This has the Red Plum Label with "Do What Thou Wilt" text and 2401002 A-5 (with no dash in long number)
Side two
This has the Red Plum Label complete with "So Mote It Be" text and 2401002 B-5 (again, no dash)
Both sides have Produced by Jimmy Page and Executive Producer Peter Grant
The scratches are as described above.
Inlay......
Fairly age faded with one small rip (see photo) which folds back in place ok.
If I get asked, I can possibly take the LP to someone who owns a turntable to get it tested.
If you'd like to know anything else, please don't hesitate to ask. I will post this the next working day first class signed for via the Post Office. I will wrap in bubble wrap and cardboard. Maybe the winning bidder can let me know if they'd like "Fragile" stickers on or not as maybe parcels marked as such only get thrown 'underarm'!
I will start at just a tenner and see where it goes to, I WON'T end the auction early so please don't ask. Collection from Colchester, Essex is fine, cash on collection please.

This LP has been tested and as far as I could tell the scratches don't greatly affect the quality of the recording.
