Description
Led Zeppelin 4 ( 1971 Atlantic plum/red labels original. G/F cover . Rough flipback custom inner . 2401012 Deluxe ) beautiful copy of what for many is the finest rock album ever. So difficult to get originals as nice as this now. One of the rarest plum/red pressings as it was released November 1971 just before the switch to Kinney and green/orange labels January 1972. Gatefold cover in fantastic shape with only very slight surface mark top rear. Microscopic edge rubbing but it literally is microscopic. Lovely crisp clean opening edges. One or two very light spine creases and that really is it..,.. fantastic. EX PLUS. Original custom inner is the very first version: DARK grey with FLIPBACK on one side. ( all subsequent pressings were lighter , smoother and NON flipback ) and is like new. NEAR MINT. Plum/Red original Atlantic labels show only slight signs of turntable use . Very slight spindle traces. Colours still bright & vibrant. EX PLUS. Medium weight vinyl lies flat and true on the platter. Beautiful gleaming playing surfaces . Only very light traces of sleeve removal seen under direct spotlight. A3/B4 matrices . Side One : PECKO DUCK. Side Two : PORKY. on run out area. George Peckham. Top mastering engineer. So needless to say sound quality is simply stunning. Easily superior to all subsequent pressings and digital re issues. Really gorgeous record. Nicest one iv seen for a long time for this title. EX PLUS. Gradings as per : UK Record Collector Grading System definitions. Dealer/collector since 1974. All items guaranteed. All photos are of actual item for sale. Please wait for my personal invoice before sending any payment. Thanks. Any questions please get in touch. Gordon.
