Led Zeppelin
Houses of the Holy
Atlantic 1973
Superb copy of the first pressing with very first A2 B2 matrix codes and with first issue labels with all rim text in the lower half and with RL (Robert (Bob) Ludwig) etched into the runout on both sides. Moreover, this copy has the original and very elusive OBI band, added to original copies by the record label who weren’t happy with Jimmy Page’s wish for yet another release with no band name or titles visible on the sleeve. The OBI is fragile and I would imagine discarded by the majority of original owners. Now barely ever showing up. This is the original with ‘…mono reproducers…’ text on the rear and is complete and intact!
VINYL:
An Excellent copy with clean playing surfaces and bright labels. Audio is fantastic throughout with only ever minimal interference in some places which is never overpowering. Clean vinyl with just a couple of light marks visible in brighter light.
SLEEVE:
Excellent gatefold sleeve with a hint of rubbing along the lower edge.
INNER/INSERTS:
The original textured paper inner is in superb shape, with barely any handling evidence and the OBI is intact with just one crease.
Overall a lovely copy of a rare and increasingly sought after record, particularly with the inclusion of the intact original OBI band.
