Description

An original 1st issue of HOTH on the UK Atlantic label. Matrix A3/B3. Etching 'RL Sterling'. Please note the perimeter text does not run into the upper hemisphere of the label there's no mention of the WB logo either - this is indicative of 1st issue. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original matt gatefold cover. Also included is the original textured inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) A beautiful slab of vinyl and has only seen light use. Under close inspection there are a couple of light marks - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. Interference in minimal. All we detected was a couple of crackles in 'No QTR' & 'Rain' - but both tracks still play back very clean [way better than average]. The audio quality really is top-level thanks to a fantastic mastering job Mr Ludwig. A well preserved copy like this one really does a blindingly good job of this Zep classic.
Cover (Ex) Lovely condition and has clearly been cared for down the years. Only the lightest handling wear is vaguely obvious front and back. The interior is immaculate. Edge wear is light and the spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity and lies perfectly flat. A very nice example indeed.
Inner (Ex) Hasn't aged very much at all. One or two tiny marks. No splits.
