Description
Houses of the Holy 1st pressing on the UK Atlantic label from 1973. Matrix A2/B2... Etching 'Sterling'... No mention of the WB logo in the perimeter text all of which confirm that this is a genuine UK 1st Press. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original gatefold cover with matt finish and the original textured lyrics inner sleeve. 100% complete & 100% original.
Vinyl (Ex+) Ok,so this copy is blindingly good. Lets start with the basics..HoftH at times is Loud!...but a lot of it is also very low-key stuff...the sort of level where interference can be very noticeable. But not here, this copy has been looked after and I would say has had minimal use. Playback is astonishingly good and coupled with the quality of these 1st issues - you will not find a better player - period. Both sides are in excellent condition retaining much of their original shine. Please note - there is one light mark on track 1 side 2. I have thoroughly tested this and I cannot make out anything more than one light crackle toward the end of the track. Other than that the surface is in remarkably good condition even under close inspection. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Setting that one very minor issue above aside playback really is astonishingly good. There are only a couple of very light crackles just audible throughout the entire record - which is unusual. The audio comes across with amazing clarity and, most importantly, quality! If you are a Zeppelin fan and looking to hear this LP in all its original glory then look no further.....
Cover (Ex-) Again has been looked after very carefully. Nice vivid colours on all sides with only some very light ringwear just noticeable. The cover has kept its original rigidity and there's only some light edgewear apparent. Look at the spine though...nice! ..difficult to find like this. The interior is immaculate and all the flipbacks/seams are perfectly intact - there are no hidden splits or anything like that. A really nice example of an original hard to find cover.
Inner (Ex) Breathtakingly good...100% intact there are no splits and very little wear at all. In fact it is remarkably free from ageing. A brilliant example.
