Description
Led Zeppelin were an English rock band formed in London in 1968. The group consisted of Jimmy Page (guitar), Robert Page (vocals), John Paul Jones (bass and keyboard), and John Bonham (drums). Each of their nine studio albums placed in the top ten on the Billboard Albums Chart, and six reached the number one spot. Led Zeppelin was the biggest band of the seventies. "Houses of the Holy" is their fifth studio album, released in 1973 by Atlantic Records. It is their first album composed entirely of original material, and represents a musical turning point for the band. Houses of the Holy became a huge success. The cover art was inspired by the ending of Arthur C. Clark's novel Childhood's End. To hide the exposed children's buttocks, Atlantic Records added a wrap-around paper band to US and UK copies, but still the album was either banned or unavailable in some parts of Southern United States for several years. The gatefold cover is in excellent condition and comes with the printed inner sleeve. The vinyl is in excellent condition. Atlantic Records, #SD 7255, STEREO LP. Thank you for looking. (Grading Order: Mint, Near Mint, Excellent, Very Good+, Very Good, Good, etc...)
