Description
This is the EARLIEST available 1st pressing of this 36 year old Classic Album.
Matrix numbers are:- K50014 A2 & B2. With " STERLING RL" also etched in the dead wax. 'Sterling RL' signifies that the album was mastered by Robert (Bob) Ludwig of 'Sterling Sound'. This is an important piece of authenticity of this being one of the first batch pressed.
It is generally acknowledged that the sound quality on these earlier releases is far superior to the later releases.
The Matt Finish Gatefold Outer Sleeve is in Very Good condition, no tearings, stickers, damage etc. The spine is in excellent condition.
The Inner Lyric Sleeve, printed by MacNeill Press Ltd is in Excellent condition, no tearings, damage etc.
The Vinyl is in Very Good condition, lies flat on the turntable, has a bright lustre but as a few light scratches. Plays really well with a bit of static crackle but no jumping or clicking etc.
I am expecting strong bidding for this RARE album and am starting it with a low starting price with NO RESERVE.
I have allowed for Royal Mail 1st Class Recorded Mail to UK only.
Please let me know if you require additional insurance etc or postage to Europe or Rest Of World.
As a small aside, this Album has only ever had 1 owner. I bought this album at 9am on the first day of it's release after hearing Bob Harris play a preview of "No Quarter" on Whistle Test the night before!
From a smoke free home.
