Description
This is a 1973 U.S. first pressing of Led Zeppelin’s Houses of the Holy, featuring the legendary Robert Ludwig (RL) ‘Hot Mix’ on both sides. The RL and Sterling stamps are hand-etched in the dead wax of Side A and Side B. Additionally, the ‘PR’ etching in the vinyl indicates it was pressed at the Presswell, New Jersey plant. The sleeve shows Atlantic Recording Corporation 1973 SD 7255 Stereo, confirming this is the original U.S. release.
The vinyl itself is a playable powerhouse, delivering the iconic room-shaking RL sound. While there is some visible surface wear and audible crackle, particularly during quieter acoustic passages, the louder rock sections showcase the full impact of the ‘Hot Mix’ audio. No skips or looping were detected during play-testing. The gatefold jacket is in good condition, showing honest shelf wear and aging.
