Description
For sale is an authentic 1st pressing of Led Zeppelin's Houses of the Holy in great condition.
The cover is Near Mint with absolutely no marks to the front or rear and beautiful smooth and straight edges however I must point out that there is a 1cm 'snip' off the top left corner and another 1cm trim at the bottom of the right hand opening edge. It's a shame because otherwise the cover is perfect but there you go, what can you do.
The record is Excellent and has scuffs on both sides which are mostly sleeve-removal marks that don't affect play. I've played the album and it sounds great with hardly any crackle.
The labels are Near Mint with no spindle traces on either side. All the 1st pressing indicators can be found on the label; 'Houses of the Holy' is printed dead centre in the top half of the label. On the bottom half is printed 'Produced by Jimmy Page' 'Engineered by Eddie Kramer, George Chkiantz and Keith Harwood' and 'Superhype Publishing/Warner Bros. Music (1-4) and Made in UK below Stereo. The matrix numbers are A-2 B-2 and Sterling RL is etched into the deadwax.
The lyric inner is Near Mint and has no seam splits or rips. A very clean original inner.
I also have Bob Dylan's Blonde on Blonde for sale; have a look if you have a minute. Any questions just ask away.
