No visible scratches. Some sleeve wear. '
I've been asked by buyers what's written in the run-out groove area .
Side One: 'For Mary' K50014 A4 (First I have correct, last three letters appear to say OHM but could be 01-1?)
Side Two: 'Pecko' K50014
Who was Mary and Pecko I wonder? Some bloke at the pressing-plant, and his Missus? Now moved to Weston-super-mare and likes to be known as 'Sue'.

Does anyone kNOw who mastered side 1, and who the 'mary' is?
I actually have an A2/B3 UK RL (not A3/B3 as mentioned above) and I compared it to my new copy.
Side 1 ('for mary') sounds good, but nothing stads out. I prefer the RL. I've always thought that the bass is a bit lacking on the RLs for this title (at least the GER and UK; haven't heard a US yet). However, the smoothness makes it sound warmer to me and that's a better deal overall.
Coversely, I prefer side 2 ('pecko') over the RL. It's quite different from the RL. It's lost that smooth touch, and all the instruments just come right at you. The bass has a good presence; it's on the edge, but just not too much. The guitars are layered very nicely indeed over that bass on top. The deadwax is quite narrow, and this is a fairly loud cut, so it's a candidate for IGD (just like the Porky IV).
The real winner here is No Quarter on the Pecko. Peckham's style suits the song much better than Ludwig's. Peckham gives it a depth missing from any other version i have heard. Play it loud, sit back and just allow yourself to float away for the next 7 minutes.
