Description:
Led Zeppelin's debut LP and rare 1st UK press of "Led Zeppelin". Released in 1969, this LP is a testament to the band's influential sound. This edition features the uncorrected matrix, corrected Superhype publishing credit label error, and the distinctive turquoise 1st version lettering on the sleeve that was swiftly replaced with an orange design.
The Outer Sleeve: VG+
Great condition all around. The front is clean and sleeve is intact with no rips splits or writing. There is a little laminate creasing, very faint beginning of ring wear on upper front and slight discolouration on the spine edge.
The rear has a little laminate lift on spine side and slight age related discolouration. Overall VG+ condition though.
The spine is intact though has been flattened slightly over time.
The Vinyl: EX+
This disc is an absolutely superb example of this extremely rare and sought after record.
The groves are extremely clean and show that this record has been played very little since its release. There are a few very faint spindle marks on the labels that can be seen under a light and a few faint sleeve removal lines that can just about be seen under a bright light.
Both sides are clean, shiny with crisp, clean labels that seem as fresh as they day they were originally printed.
The audio is incredible on this record and plays with no pops or clicks on my system. Easily the best by far that I have ever heard of this album. There is a very light scattering of surface noise here and there during the (few) quiet parts of this record. I have no doubt that a deep clean would remove this. I will leave this to the buyer to use their preferred method.
Given the value and scarcity of this record in this condition pick up in person in London would be preferred though can ship insured too.
