Description
Up for sale is one rare first pressing of Led Zeppelin II that has the etchings "RL" and "SS" in the runouts. Not many of these were made since these were recalled early on when they were first released. Pressed at Presswell's pressing plant in Winslow Township, New Jersey. There will be some surface noise on some of the tracks like on side 1 track 2 and track 4. Track 4 "Thank You", has a scratch near towards the end of the song that is audible but can be heard during the quiet part of the fade out. Surface noise on side two can be heard mostly on the tracks " Ramble On", and "Moby Dick". Overall, sound quality is killer on really loud sections of each track and John Paul Jones' bass punches through like it should be. I played this record all the way through on my Thorens TD 146 using a Grado Prestige Gold stereo MM cartridge tracking at 1.5 grams. I listened to the record using Sennheiser 700 HD headphones plugged into an SMSL headphone amplifier. The record has already been cleaned by using the spin clean washer system and has a new plastic inner sleeve. If you are looking for an immaculate or near perfect copy then this ain't the one The original inner sleeve is missing. Item will be shipped securely in dedicated LP mailer via USPS Media Mail.
