Description
Led Zeppelin II 1st UK Press 1969 Red Plum Lemon Song on Label A2-B2.
UK first press, A2/B2 With The Lemon Song credit, ThankYou error and Living Loving Maid error.
These copies were only available for a short period in the UK making it one of the rarer Zep releases, especially when you consider that the British release of Led Zep 2 sold a fraction of the amount of copies that the American release did.
The cover as you can see from the pics has a bit of ageing but still has strong seams and a pretty decent readable spine.
The inside of the gatefold is in really good condition.
I'm pretty sure that the plain inner sleeve is the original, but not totally sure.
Before any sale I always play my albums on my Project Essential deck, to check for skips or jumps etc.
The playback from the big heavy deep grooved vinyl does not disappoint!!..these first releases are built to last and do sound the best a view shared by many.
The record is nice and clean with a good gloss but it does have quite a few sleeve removal marks/feathers etc, there is one slight feelable mark on "What Is and What Should Never Be" which causes a slight click.
There are no jumps or sticks at all.
There is a bit of surface static noise that you can hear in some of the quite tracks.
But it's still a magic sounding playback, Jimmy's guitar and Bonzos drumming Never fail to move me...
This record is over 50 years old and an A2/B2 copy is getting more and more expensive,
I always price my vinyl competitively and well below Ebay recommendations, but please don't mistake this because it's not a good copy.
I may keep the album if it looks like it won't sell as it might be a while before I get another
Any questions please ask
