Description

An original Xmas 1971 copy of Zep II on UK Atlantic Red & Plum. Matrix A4/B6. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original dark-brown [correct for this period] E J Day printed cover. Please note in the interior there's an Atlantic/Kinney sticker on the right hand panel - and this dates the copy to Xmas at the point were taking over the Atlantic catalogue. Also included is the highly collectable Headhunter inner sleeve from the time. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) In truly superb condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of light marks either side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. If you want to hear your Zep on original Red & Plum and sounding as clean as a whistle - this is YOUR copy! Intros and inbetweens are silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. It really is one of the best auditions I've heard....original Red & Plum will sound amazing if it has been looked after. And this copy is beautifully preserved. Interference is almost non-existent. All we could detect were a few crackles in a couple of isolated moments. A total joy to behold - listen to those vocal echoes...hear Bonham's drums...and the guitars distort - they way they were meant too! This is the REAL DEAL...[please note one label has been initialled].
Cover (Ex-) In great shape and has clearly been looked after. Nice and clean front without ageing - do expect some light handling, but way better than most copies that surface. Nice clean rear too just some light ring wear, but generally in well above average condition. The interior is in great condition with only very light handling. Note that the Atlantic sticker is unpeeled and unaged...nice! There's edge wear in places, but nothing really unsightly. The spine is, in fact, in better than average condition with at least 90% of the text legible. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. A lovely early example...
Inner (Ex) No splits or writing. very little ageing apparent at all from the outside.
