Description


 An original Red & Plum of ZEPII on UK Atlantic from Xmas 1970. Matrix A6/B4. Probably 12 months after 1st release and they have, by now, got round to re-naming KILLING FLOOR correctly. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original E J Day cover. If you need to witness ZEP at the height of their powers...for audio...this will definitely hit the mark. There's also an original plastic bag warning inner too. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex-/Vg+) Well preserved and has only seen light to moderate use. Under close inspection there are a good few marks per side - nothing heavy or troublesome though. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a NEAREXCELLENT level of playback with a couple of deviations per side. Relatively quiet intros and inbetweens and the audio comes across with really good clarity. A pretty clean player - not in my top ten copies...but quite frankly a very decent standard and one you can more than start to witness what a great recording this was. WLL plays well with pretty quiet background [not perfectly]. Expect a few crackles in some of the quietest moments - but it is definitely above average. Anyone who hasn't heard Zep II on R&P will get a shock...the power and weight behind the guitar and drums is epic on a R&P- you can almost feel it! WIAWSNB -  a little bit of background in the quieter moments [not much]. Some background occasionally picked up in Killing Floor & M.Dick - not unpalatable, but audible all the same. A few crackles in the lowkey intro to Thankyou&BringItOnHome - difficult to avoid entirely. Heartbreaker & LLM - superb! Ramble - is real sweeet. Overall this is a cracking copy. It's just not perfectly quiet in some of the fussier lowkey moments - that's all.
Cover (Vg+) In great condition with some light handling and light ageing back and front. Small signature top right on rear. The interior looks great. Some wear to the edges - but nothing worrisome. Spine is fine, but quite worn - so don't be expecting anything much from this area. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. 
Inner (Vg+) A little aged. No splits.
