Led Zeppelin II - 2nd UK Press 1969 Red/Plum Atlantic A2/B2 VG+/VG-
Original UK (2nd) 1969 pressing of the classic Led Zeppelin II.
Atlantic Red/plum label, Thankyou/Lemon Song on label.

Vinyl has light scuffs and marks (none feelable) but plays well with only a small amount of crackle evident in some of the quieter passages (of which there aren’t many) but certainly doesn’t come close to overpowering the music, and 2 or 3 light pops and a few lighter clicks (on “Whole Lot Of Love”). Overall the sound is pretty decent and clear, and remains a really enjoyable listening experience. I have had several later re-issues and these early red/plum versions have a better, deeper, fuzzier sound in my opinion. No skips, jumps or sticking. VG+ overall play grade.
Sleeve grades as VG-/G+ It has had a large “30p” written on in permanent marker at some point (who does that?) I have removed as much as I could with some acetone and it’s not too bad but still noticeable. Clumsy sticker removal mark on front too. It also has a fair bit of edge wear, etc, but no major splits or tears. A bit ragged overall.
The original liner is missing but Ive included a brand new poly lined plain sleeve.
Overall this is a decent copy for playing and listening too. The sleeve isn’t pretty but the sound is very enjoyable.
