Up for grabs is a desirable hot mix, two-sided 'RL' version of Led Zeppelin's II album. Please see pictures for images of etched 'RL' text on both sides. I believe this is a Terre Haute pressing, since there are 'T' characters etched on the runouts, but don't quote me on that.
The vinyl looks rough with superficial marks throughout. Only a few feelable ones, but the amount of loud popping and shooshing is surprisingly low, particularly on side 1. Record plays with noticeable background noise throughout (worse on side 2) that doesn't fully overpower the music. Loud passages play authoritatively, but noise is clearly noticeable in quiet passages. Record does NOT skip on either my Rotel RP3000 or Technics SL1200Mk2 turntables, both tracking at 1.5 grams; however, given its visual condition, I can't guarantee that it won't skip on your table - please take this into account when bidding. You may need a decent tracker to play this one, even though there are no loud pops that indicate likelihood of skipping. My Technics and Rotel are not necessarily exceptional trackers, they are just average - I've had worse and better. Side 2 does have a couple passages with periodic 'shooshes' (on Ramble on and Moby Dick I believe). I have a feeling playback quality will significantly improve with a deep clean; unfortunately I don't have a record cleaner. 
Jacket is somewhat presentable with some staining, writing on cover, spine wear and partial top and bottom splits. This is a gatefold, and the top layer of the gatefold, which is supposed not to have an opening, has a full one. As if someone wanted to store two albums in the gatefold. Given the vintage nature of the album and the fact that it is somewhat rough, it is being sold as is, no returns. Please make sure you check images and videos carefully before you place a bid.
