Description
Led Zeppelin II
Japan LP P-10101A
Atlantic / Warner-Pioneer Japan
Matrix:
Side 1: P-8042 A1
Side 2: P-8042 A2
Fully play-tested on my audio system.
Although the catalog number is P-10101A, this copy uses earlier P-8042 matrix numbers, indicating that early metal parts/cutting were carried over to this later Japanese pressing.
This type of pressing is well known among collectors for retaining characteristics of the earlier Japanese cut.
The vinyl has some light surface scuffs and hairlines on Side 1.
Side 2 has fewer marks overall.
There are no deep scratches or damage that affect playback.
Playback condition:
Side 1 has some light crackle/static noise in a few sections and occasionally between tracks,
but it is not constant throughout playback.
Side 2 plays much cleaner with only very minor noise.
Overall playback grade is VG+.
Gatefold jacket is EX condition.
Only slight corner wear is present, and the inside gatefold artwork remains very clean and well preserved.
Pink obi is included and remains clean, though there is a fold line near the middle section.
Includes:
Original poster (near mint condition)
Japanese lyric insert
Playback on my system:
No skips
No loops
No warp
