Robert Ludwig mastered Pittman New Jersey 1st pressing with SS for Sterling Sound and RL for Robert Ludwig stamped on both sides. Looks to be barely played VERY rare in this condition!

Vinyl listed as VG because of one non-repeating skip that looks to be a pressing flaw because there are no scratches on this copy! There's a skip once at the beginning of "What Is And What Should Never Be". Without this flaw, this copy would be rated at VG++. Side 2 and every other song did not skip on my player (Technics with 2 grams of weight on the arm). Audio quality was astounding, dynamic, and loud as hell!!! Smokes every other pressing I have had of this album.

Cover is VG with wear on the edges especially the bottom edge where the paper loss is exposing some of the cardboard. The middle of the gatefold on the inside has a split visible, and the outside edge of the gatefold cover is worn and starting to split.

US 1st pressing, featuring Robert Ludwig's "hot" mastering on both sides. These were withdrawn early because the high bass levels caused low-grade cartridges to mistrack, leading people to return the album on the belief that it was defective. Another engineer was then hired to recut a much less "hot" version of the album, and that is the far more common version.

Labels include "CP" suffix (indicating Columbia Pitman pressing) and "Mfg By Atlantic Recording Corp., 1841 Broadway, New York, N.Y.".
