Im grading the vinyl at VG- to be on the safe side.
RL on side One
RL SS on side Two
Record sounds great though there is definitely surface noise throughout. That being said, it is still a very enjoyable listen. The surface noise is, obviously, easiest to hear in the quiet parts (on this record I notice the surface noise mostly during the drum solo in Moby Dick, and the beginning of Bringing it on Home). But the drums sound huge, and the bass is thick and full sounding...just it should be on an RL.
There are surface scratches throughout but none I could feel with my fingernail.
The record does not skip, however, on my turntable, it gets stuck during the second verse of What is and What Should Never Be. The sticking either works itself out after a few repeats, otherwise I just give a tap to the of my turntable and that gets it going again no problem.
I ran it twice through an ultrasonic cleaner. Comes in an antistatic sleeve.
I had this listed and decided to lower the grading to be on the safe side and to reassess after giving another cleaning and listening to.
