Up for auction  is a rare 1st pressing of:
 
 
 Led Zeppelin - Led Zeppelin III (2401002)
 
 
A very hard to find original 1970 first pressing of a classic Led Zeppelin LP. (See all the scans below.)
 
 Matrix run out grooves are etched with:
 Side One: do what thou wilt    A 5
 Side Two: so mote it be    B 5

Album sleeve gatefold and fully laminated inside and out. The front cover  rotating 'wheel' turns smoothly and is fine. The sleeve has the a little  handling wear, small creases, also a little yellowing at the edges. All typical of an album  this age. Graded VG++ near EX.
 
 The record has the red and plum Atlantic labels. Has the credits:
 'Produced by Jimmy Page'
 'Executive Producer: Peter Grant'
 This was quickly changed to just the Jimmy Page credit for subsequent  pressings. So this label text only applied to the earliest 1st pressing. Also 1st pressings have the catalogue number as '2401002' joined together - whereas all later pressings insert an extra 'dash' and appear as '2401-002'.
 
 Vinyl has looks great and hardly played, I can't see any spindle marks. Just a  few minor scuffs.
 
 Tracks include : Immigrant Song, Since I've Been Loving You, Gallows Pole and  other great songs.
