Description

An original 1st press of Zep III on UK Red & Plum Atlantic. Matrix A7/B5. Please note that the labels are the VERY 1st variation. Peter Grant was still mentioned before Jimmy got him kicked off. The heavy-set vinyl comes in an original E J Day Deluxe cover with spinning wheel [fully functional]. We also have a plastic bag warning inner too.
Vinyl (Ex/Vg+) In very nice condition for the vintage and has seen relatively light use. Under close inspection inspection expect a couple of light marks - one or two do sound briefly. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with deviation in a couple of spots per side. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. These early plum copies are sought after for being originals - but lets face it the audio they deliver is top level [that's the other reason!]. SIBLY plays pretty clean with just slight presence in places and a couple of isolated ticks. I would argue it was very nice particularly given this is the slow bluesy number [i.e. very fussy]. A good clean player for the most part. 'That's The Way' + Bron-Y-Aur play awesome....A few crackles in the intro to Tangerine & Immigrant [minor]. There's 3-4 clicks as OOTT's closes out. A couple of isolated ticks in Tangerine. A couple of isolated clicks during BRON-Y. A couple of clicks midway through Roy Harper. One of which does sound a bit like a skip. It's in the strumming - but sounds more like the band play a bum note more than you actually losing any audio. The intro to Hangman is playing clean. Wow - what a track! Love in it. Highly recommended. 
Cover (Vg+) In very nice condition and has not been abused. Nice clean surfaces with a touch of light ageing at extremities front and rear [difficult to eliminate]. Slight discolouration in one small patch at bottom left edge on front [no biggy]. Die-cut openings are all well preserved without much wear and spinning wheel working fine. The interior looks superb - no issues. Light edge wear inn places - nothing noticeable. Seems to have avoided most of the laminate creasing on the rear that you can often find. The spine is 99% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) Bag present. light ageing. No splits.
