Description
Led Zeppelin III LP.
This is a UK 1st, Second press on the Orange & Green Atlantic Label with fully laminated Gothic Printers made sleeve & both 1st press & 2nd press Catalogue/ matrix numbers & "Do what thou wilt" etched into the dead wax. Side 1 has Do what thou wilt (a couple of symbols) 2401002 A5 (couple more symbols) Etched into the dead wax, then K50002 stamped. Side 2 has 2401002 B//6?420 43 K50002 All stamped into the dead wax.
Condition of the record is EXCELLENT. There's only a few very light non sleeve removal marks seen under a bright light. No heavy marks or scratches. The record labels are fairly clean with just a hint of foxing & a few light spindle marks on each side, but no writing or stickers.
The record has been cleaned on a Moth mk11 pro record cleaner & played throughout on a Project turn table.
The audio quality is EXCELLENT. Fantastic condition, loud clear audio with good separation & depth.
The sleeve condition is VERY GOOD+. The fully laminated sleeve is clean & presentable with only very minimal wear & light handling creases. The spinning wheel is free to move, but has come off the centre rivet, may be fixable? The laminate is missing from the spine, but has not affected the front or back cover. The spine is square & fully readable & the opening edge is sharp & crisp with just a couple of light bumps. No writing or sticker tears anywhere on the sleeve. Please see pictures (more available upon request).
Graded very conservatively to the Rare Record Price guide, it's still an enjoyable listen & in no way trashed!
