Description
A rare opportunity has arisen for this fine conditioned 1st pressing of the classic album LED ZEPPELIN III.
I will attempt to describe the condition - the most important part of any bid - as best I can. If you have any questions, no matter how intricate or random don't hesitate to ask. This record has had only one owner. It is still in the original laminate record cover.
The Cover I would grade at EX+. Its does not have any marks or splits to the cover. As you can see from the pictures the cover is in in fantastic condition both inside, out and on the back. There is only slight de-colourisation to the very edge of the colour. Something that I personally feel adds to the vintage tinge to the record. Its not a great deal of colour loss however, which can be clearly identified by the pictures.
The Vinyl itself I would grade as EX+. As you can see from the pictures there are no big scratches on the vinyl. In fact luckily there is nothing that affects play in the obvious major ways such as the skips or pops, which can frustrate anyone even if it's just once throughout. This record is actually one of the best conditioned records I own and has only slight hairline scratches. Not even barely enough to be worth mentioning but I still feel it is important to do so. There is static in some silent sections of the vinyl but only really on the first side. No scuffs, however this vinyl may just need a tinker with some professional record cleaning fluid to reach its full potential of a truly crisp sound.
It has the A//5 B//5 matrix and the catalogue number is 2401002 on both vinyl and cover. The inscribing on this pressing is 'Do what thou wilt' on Side One and 'So mote it be' on Side Two. What a treat to pull an Atlantic Plum out from this iconic album cover.
