Description
Up for auction here is a lovely late 1970/ early 1971 French Atlantic Plum label copy of Led Zeppelin III catalogue number 50 002.It's publishing rights society BIEM dates this at 1970/71 as this was switched to SACEM later in 1971.This was the first French edition to feature the lovely rotating wheel gatefold sleeve.First French release was a single flipback sleeve of the rear of this edition with the bands headshots. It is in fantastic all round condition visually & playback. The rotating wheel incororated into the front sleeve is fully working. I'm sure the winning bidder will not be disappointed.Only very minor edge/cornerwear and very little discolouration of the sleeve.Playtested using my 1976 wooden Sony turntable with an Audio Technica AT-VM95ML Microlinear Stylus with shows up any problems. As the record has a few quite acoustic tracks condition is very important and playback didn't reveal anything to spoil the listening pleasure l.Personalty this is my favourite Zeppelin lp showcasing everything that was great about them.See pictures for all details. As always any questions are more than welcome..Good luck and thanks for looking.😊
