Description
Led Zeppelin III Gatefold LP
This version of the LP appears to be a hybrid copy during the change in catalogue numbers from 2401 002 to K50002. The gatefold sleeve has the 2401 002 number on the spine and there is a company sticker on the inner gatefold that has been placed over the original album details; revising the credits. It's not just the sleeve which has been changed, the run off grooves on the vinyl also have the 2401002 etched in addition to the K50002 stamp. Furthermore the label states 'Made in the UK ' and Peter Grant as Executive Producer.
Sleeve: EX: Fully laminated Gatefold sleeve with working wheel. Top of sleeve needs to be re gummed. Strong spine with the 2401 002 ref. number. Inner gatefold has a round translucent sticker placed over the original album credits. The sticker contains revised credits.See pics. Traces of sticker residue to top right hand corner of front sleeve. On rear sleeve there is a record shop price sticker with K50002 on it.
Inner Sleeve: plain white inner sleeve
Label: EX+ : Labels are clean. The label has 'Made in UK 'at top of orange segment and credits Peter Grant as Executive Producer. See Pics
Vinyl: EX+ : Visually the vinyl is clean and shiny and doesn't look as if it's been played more than a handful of times. I have played the LP and to my ears the audio was excellent. Therefore I have graded the vinyl as EX+. The run off grooves have the K50002A/B stamp but also etched into the vinyl on side one is 2401002 A7 and Do What Thou Wilt. Side two has 2401002 B//6
