Led Zeppelin IV 4 LP UK 1st Press SUPERB AUDIO [Ex+/Vg+]

Description

1st released in November 1971 - So, this classic title is now celebrating it's 50th Year anniversary.
An original 1st press of Zep IV on the UK Atlantic label. Matrix A3/B4. This label version/variation is not one of the earliest iterations - but this copy would have been available for purchase very soon after 1st release. Note the track 'Mountain Hop' exhibits as 'Top' - this is an error. Late plum copies would have this error corrected. The vinyl comes housed in an original cover with left panel glued shut. There's also an original 5 credit inner with exposed flipbacks. So, we're 100% genuine and 100% complete. Will ship in a Nagaoka anti-static inner for maximum protection.
Vinyl (Ex+) In beautiful condition and it's difficult to find early copies looking anywhere near this smart. It's clearly seen light careful use. Under close inspection there are a couple of very light marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level excellent. The red and plum copies sound great - period. And I'm pleased to report - this is one of the best examples I've ever witnessed.  Upbeat numbers are delivered with energy and bags of low-level detail. But what takes it into the top category? Well, go straight to those THREE very tricky and popular tracks. STAIRWAY/EVERMORE/CALIFORNIA. Each of these tracks, for differing reasons, are terribly difficult to find playing properly clean. But when you finally snag one - you'll have hit the jack pot. The audio delivery on a copy like this is absolutely top-level. With a beautifully quiet back ground to the acoustic numbers - man, you are close to nirvana. All three play fantastically clean - much much cleaner that you typically find. I'm struggling to pick out any background at all - throughout. This is highly unusual to manage this level of delivery - consistently. Finishing off on the crashing might of 'Levee'. I don't think you could find a better copy. Very Highly recommended.
Cover (Vg+) Has clearly been cared for with nice smooth and flat front and rear. There's a small surface level tear in the top left corner on the front. I have coloured it in a sympathetic palette. As the aesthetic of the front image is quite higgledy-piggledy it is  pretty easy to make it blend in. A bit of light discolouration observable along the top edge of the rear. The interior looks great - no issues. Only slight signs of edge wear and the openings are still sharpish. The spine looks well above average - no issue. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) Bottom edge split ha been taped. Small 1 inch split on side edges. Surfaces look pretty good.
