Led Zeppelin IV 1971 original Atlantic plum press 2401012 A//3 B//4 Porky/Pecko Duck Corrected Matrix
An extremely rare copy of this classic album on original plum Atlantic label.
Vinyl Ex/Vg+ (some visible hairlines if held under a very bright light)
Sleeve VG++ (great condition for age)
Matrix no's - Side 1 2401012 XX A//3 PECKO DUCK Side 2 2401012 B//4 PORKY
MOTHER STAMPERS: Side 1 '' 1 2 2 1 '' (very early)
Contains original inner sleeve (Split on both sides) with Peter Grant credit - this is not present on record labels (see photo)
What makes this copy so ridiculously rare is the corrected matrix number on side 1 - (SEE 2ND PHOTO) The 'xx' markings were actually stamped to hide the originally incorrect matrix ending in B1. This mistake was spotted during the pressing but Atlantic were so determined to get these few records out and sold that the ending was over stamped with 'XX' and the correct ending "- A - 3" was stamped to the immediate right, you can still see the incorrect stamping. This matrix is only on the very first records made, most likely even before the later stickered copies - EXTREMELY rare!!
