Description
Led Zeppelin - IV
(Atlantic 2401012 UK LP 1971)
This is a UK original LP pressing. It has a matt gatefold sleeve. It comes with its original lyric/ tracklisting inner sleeve. This is printed on textured paper.
The record has red & maroon "Atlantic" labels & has 1st press A3/ B4 matrix stampers. "Porky" and "Pecko Duck" are etched in the dead wax. It has the Jimmy Page production credit.
Gatefold Sleeve: There is some considerable rubbing wear to the bottom edge. This has caused a 6 cm seam split at the centre bottom of the front gatefold. There is also considerable rubbing wear to the top edge & spine also. There is a 4.5 cm seam split at the top edge at the sleeve opening. There are also some scratch/ rub marks on the rear sleeve. Good condition.
Vinyl: There are some mild to more moderate sleeve rubs which can be seen under a strong light, and about 4 light marks. Good++ condition. The labels are clean & show mild to more moderate spindle wear. Plays VG overall. There is some light, mild or more moderatre crackle in some quieter places. There are a few light clicks on one song. It does not jump.
The inner sleeve is tatty. There is a seam split along the entirety on the bottom seam & one side. There is a tape stain that runs along the bottom too. There are 3 tears also. It is in Poor condition. I have places the vinyl in a separate polythene-lined plain inner sleeve.
Grading adheres to “Record Collector” specifications. I shall use good quality packaging (proper vinyl mailers & two card dividers).
