Description
LED ZEPPELIN'S CLASSIC 4th ALBUM
Includes Stairway To Heaven, Black Dog & Rock And Roll Record is from my own collection, I no longer play vinyl so want it to go to a good home where someone will take care of it but also listen to it as it is a great album.
This is a rare 1st edition vinyl album.
Highly collectible UK A3 B3 1971 UK pressing of Led Zeppelin IV (Four Symbols) Vinyl LP Atlantic 2401012 Stereo with "Misty Mountain Top" misprint on side 2
This is the 5th (of 8) known 'plum' label variants. Specific to this label are: Kinney Music Ltd beneath song titles
Matrix side 1 2401012## A#3 1 3 5
"pecko duck" is etched in the run off Matrix Side 2 2401012 B#3 1 2 2
"porky" is etched on run off The matrix A3 B3 1971 confirms as one of the earliest pressings
Side 2 has the following error: 'Misty Mountain Hop' is misspelt 'Misty Mountain Top'. Inner sleeve as shown in photo, the inner sleeve does not have the song titles and some credits as some early pressings do, I believe this is because of the misprint on the Vinyl label would have meant a contradiction of the title of first track on side 2.
Condition
Cover VG plus gatefold no writing and spine is good
There is a mark on the front cover where a sticky label was removed which leaves a 1cm by 2cm mark see photo.

I have not played this album for over 30 years but there were no major crackles or scratches when I did play it, I know this because I only kept the records that played well and since then it has been carefully stored. Both the Vinyl and outer covers are in very good to excellent condition, the inner sleeve has some tears and splits.
The album will be wrapped in a cover specifically purchased for posting vinyl LPs. It will be sent fully insured and tracked. Happy to discuss and modify the postage to meet your requirements and include any additional items you may purchase from me.
From a smoke free home.
Thank you for looking.
Note: the inner sleeve does have tears on the seams where the LP itself has pushed through the inner.
On 24-Nov-18 at 10:07:42 GMT, seller added the following information:Album will be packed in cardboard as per the packaging that can be purchased specifically for 12" LPs. I have started to make my own and use an additional cardboard square the same size as the album outer cover for extra strength. This cardboard is slightly thicker guge than the outer cardboard.
