Description

For auction is Led Zeppelin 1, a 2nd UK pressing in excellent condition.

This copy is the UK Atlantic Red & Plum label pressing, Cat. No. 588171. Matrix numbers: A-1 & B-1. The matrix numbers 588 171 have the scratched out and corrected “8”. The stamper codes are difficult to read.

The labels are in excellent condition, with a perfect center hole, only a very few faint spindle marks, one very tiny mark on side one, and deep rich red & plum colors.

The inner sleeve is in very good condition, with no splits or wear and some moderate yellowing .

The vinyl is in excellent condition, with no nasty marks and only very light paper scuffs and a few hairlines visible under direct bright sunlight.

The record plays very well, it is properly and severely rated at very good (+). There are no jumps, no distortions, no really nasty pops, and with light to at times moderate crackling and some light pops.

The cover is in excellent (-) condition. There is some extremely minor edge, spine and corner wear, a small amount of lamination lifting near the spine, the front and back has several small, light creases and there is very minor rubbing on the glossy laminated cover. This is a very presentable and nice cover.

Please note I am no longer shipping internationally. USA domestic shipping only. Unfortunately international shipping is too risky, expensive and frustrating for sellers and buyers as insurance is limited or unavailable and very expensive for the seller, the paperwork is tiresome for the seller, customs fees & taxes for buyers can be exorbitant, items can be held in customs for several weeks if not longer, and payment is held by Paypal for at least several weeks.

Please ask me if you have questions about my descriptions or condition ratings. I strive to be accurate, complete, and conservative (i.e. not over-rated). Please contact me with any concerns when you receive an item, your satisfaction is very important to me.

The LPs will be shipped using specialty LP packaging materials. LPs will be packaged using either single or double-boxes, cardboard spacers, and bubble wrapping.
