Description
On offer here is a UK STEREO pressing of the album LED ZEPPELIN III by LED ZEPPELIN. The Cat. No is 2401-002 on the RED & PLUM ATLANTIC label. This pressing dates from 1970. The matrix numbers are as follows: Side 1, 159 Do what thou wilt 2401002 A-5 GHC. Side 2 1211 So mote it be 2401002 B-7 GHC. This pressing has the credit at the bottom of the label stating ‘Produced by Jimmy Page’ in bold, centred underneath ‘Warner Bros. Music’ and the misspell on label side one on track A3 reading: ‘Celebration’, instead of ‘Celebration Day’
THE LABELS are in EX condition with NO WRITING just some light spindle marks.
THE VINYL cosmetically is in VG+ condition. There are some wispy surface marks, none of which are feelable. I have played it through and it sounded pretty good. There were NO JUMPS or STICKS but there was some light background noise evident in the run ins, gaps between tracks and more quiet parts. It is still an enjoyable listen. Playback grades as VG+.
THE INNER SLEEVE is the plain white non lined type in VG+ condition with NO WRITING and all edges are sound, just some creasing.
THE COVER is the ORIGINAL Fully-laminated gatefold sleeve with working wheel, printed and made in England by E. J. Day. All edges are 100% sound and the spine is legible. There is just a bit of wear to the corners and some light discolouration and creases in the laminate. Cover grades as VG+
