A FIRST PRESS UK PHYSICAL GRAFFITI MUST HAVE ALL OF THE FOLLOWING TRAITS:

    THE SLEEVE MUST HAVE 'SWAN SONG/484 KINGS ROAD, LONDON SW10' ON THE REAR SURFACE (MANY COPIES WERE GERMAN)
    THE WHITE INNER WRAP-ROUND MUST BE THICK CARD WITH A 'SPINE' AT THE BOTTOM. IT IS A MATT FINISH WITH A GREY CARD REAR SURFACE (SOME COPIES HAVE A GLOSSY THINNER CARD WITH THE SPINE AND A WHITE REAR SURFACE)
    THE INNER SLEEVES MUST BE OF THICK CARD (LATER PRESSES HAD THINNER ONES)
    THE LABELS MUST HAVE  'MADE IN UK' AT 9 O'CLOCK
    THERE MUST NOT! BE A 'W' WARNER LOGO AT 3 O'CLOCK ON THE RIM
    THE MATRIX NUMBERS MUST BE A1/B5/C1/D1 (THERE IS ALSO B4 WHICH CAN BE CONSIDERED TO BE MARGINALLY EARLIER IN THE PRESSING SEQUENCE)

Sleeve scuffs on all sides with visible scratches on side 2.  I have not played this record for a very long time so I cannot hand on heart say how it plays.

Slight spindle marks on all sides.
ORIGINAL BOX SLEEVE
VG (mininal surface wear, corners slightly rounded, spines intact and not squashed). Remnants of where a sticky label has been removed top left (can be seen in the listing photograph).

The outer cover is of a top loading ‘box’ construction of thick ridged card with the following text printed on the back, top centre: SWAN SONG / 484 KINGS ROAD, LONDON SW10 - Cullderstead Ltd., trading as Swan Song - A Swan Song/Atlantic recording distributed by WEA Records Ltd. & © 1975. The group name, record title and catalogue number run down the left hand side spine, viewed from the front, these are printed in RED but a bit scuffed.
INNER SLIP COVER
Excellent/Near Mint
The gatefold ‘slip’ insert is in excellent to near mint condition and has the spine along the bottom edge and is made from thick grey backed card.  Insert credits “Gothic Print Finishers Ltd., London SE9 2EQ” as the printers, along with the Swan Song SSK 89400 catalogue number and the address “SWAN SONG, 484 KINGS ROAD, LONDON SW10"
INNER SLEEVES
Good (very light rounding in the top four corners, rest of the surface is clean)
The Inner sleeves are printed on thick card with a natural untreated grey finish to the inside surfaces. They have SSK 89400/A and SSK 89400/B respectively on the back (bottom right corner) of each of the inners. Later issues were thinner card with a smooth finish to the inside.  Both have small splits and creases but overall they look pretty good.

This record is in good condition although it has been played many times.  I am selling my entire LP collection so please look out for more rare Pink Floyd, Led Zep and many others.

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT: The records shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration etc.

FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.

POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

Bad: The record is unplayable or might even be broken and is only of use as a collection-filler.
