The vinyl is in near excellent condition, with a rich glossy shine, and only a few very light surface marks, which in no way affect the play. The original Gothic Print Finishers Ltd.,"Matte" Multi-Pocket Cover is in near excellent condition. This album has been carefully stored and un-played for nearly 30 years, prior to it being played today for listing. The record plays superbly with excellent sound clarity and with no detection of surface noise or pops or clicks, only the very occasional dust/static noise This is a rare 1st pressing with the earliest matrix numbers A1 / B5 / C1 / D1  The Vinyl On visual initial inspection, the vinyl looks superb and still after 36 years retains its original glossy sheen from new, with only a couple of very light surface marks, which in no way affect the superb play. The Sound Reproduction I have played the records all the way through, and at very loud volume, on two separate systems, slaved through two bass amplifier (sorry, neighbours!). The sound separation is magnificent.  There is the very, very slightest evidence of the occasional low level static in the silences between a couple of the tracks. There are no loud clicks or pops. This has been carefully stored for nearly 30 years. I have cleaned the record but it would benefit from a further, continued cleaning to keep down and reduce any static and to retain the sound quality. Matrix Numbers: Side One:         SSK-89400-A1 Side Two:         SSK-89400-B5 Side Three:      SSK-89400-C1 Side Four:        SSK-89400-D1 The Labels The labels on all side are immaculate and show no signs of any marks or fading. The labels have "Made In UK." at 9 O'Clock and there is no Warner Brothers logo at 3 O'Clock. Credits show Jimmy Page as producer and Peter Grant as executive producer. NO Warner logo ("W") on either side of the label. The Cover The "Matte" Cover is in near excellent condition with "SWAN SONG/484 KINGS ROAD, LONDON SW10" on the back cover' (later copies were made in Germany) The Record Sleeve The inner wrap-around is excellent and made from stiff card with a matte white finish on the exterior and the grey bare card on the interior, with a definitve spine. Later copies wer made from a floppy glossy material that was also white on the interior, and without the definitive spine. There are small digits in ink denoting the time-play by each record side. The individual sleeves are immaculate and, again, manufactured from a stiff card, compared to the later copies with thinner flimsier sleeves.
