Description
This auction is for an original copy of Led Zeppelin's "Physical Graffiti" 2LP set on the Swansong label - catalogue number SSK 89400 (SS2 - 200). The text on side 4's label confirms "Manufactured in the UK" and the Warner logo appears on the record labels as well as Swansong.
The outer die-cut sleeve is a bit scuffed around the edge in places, but overall very good. Each LP is housed in its own artworked inner sleeve (as pictured) which are in excellent condition. The LPs themselves look VG+ and I have tested a few tracks and found no flaws with playback - quality is excellent. The foldout credits / tracklisting sheet is also in excellent condition.
The all-important matrix numbers on the records are as follows:
Side One - hand etched SSK 89400 A / the word STRAWBERRY is machine stamped into the groove too Side Two - hand etched SSK 89400-B / E.G. is also hand etched, and there's a number 2 which is machine stamped Side Three - hand etched SSK 89400 C-3 / W-4 is also hand etched, and what looks like ALLE XI is also visible Side Four - machine stamped SSK-89400-D1 / F/1 and what looks like W 16 are also hand etched
