Original U.S. first pressing (1961) on the yellow Fury label featuring the bold horse-logo arc and “A Bobby Robinson Production” credit. This is the debut LP by New Orleans legend Lee Dorsey, recorded with Allen Toussaint and including the national hit “Ya Ya.” A quintessential early-60s R&B album that captured the Crescent City groove long before Dorsey’s later hits on Amy Records. Pressed and distributed by Fury Records, New York.
The back cover carries the 271 W. 125th Street, Suite 315, New York 27, N.Y. address — confirming an authentic early printing by Globe Albany Press Inc., NY. This edition precedes later Bell Sound or Amy re-cuts.
