Description
Lee Konitz / Miles Davis / Gerry Mulligan / Stan Getz CONCEPTION Prestige 7013, recorded 1950 –51. Deep groove yellow-and-black Bergenfield mono. “RVG” hand-cut into the dead wax of lead-out groove. Reid Miles front cover is immaculate: M-. Back cover has a tough of handling/rub wear to the white surfaces, and paper has been town in lower corner. 447 West 50th Street address on bottom of back cover.Flaw in B-1: As with other copies of this record, the EQ change is audible 1:00 into the pressing from a cutting decision in mastering; that can’t be helped. BUT there is an overcut in the mastering just before the trumpet solo that causes interference for 3 revolutions and jumps one groove. Surely other copies made from this plate have the same flaw. Apart from these issues, the disc plays a handsome E+ throughout. Also includes original catalog inner sleeve.
Fifth offering from the vast, very special collection of an international avant-garde LP maven, to be offered across the coming year. Most of these items have had one owner and one play, have not left the original house of the collector since purchase. You'll find that they're so clean that there's not much to say about them--but of course descriptions are thorough, accurate and guaranteed. Bid with confidence. Shipping at cost, as usual. Please note: International shipping will be via DHL Parcel Standard service. Overseas customers please note: This DHL service is trustworthy but slow. DHL has tracking numbers but parcels are sometimes not trackable until they reach the country of destination.
Shipping is expected within 3-4 days after payment.
