Description
Listen tested. This 45 RPM mono reissue sounds amazing. Excellent bass, instrument separation and soundstage. Extremely quiet vinyl, this is dead silent, flat and tracks perfectly. This band swings! The album leads off with the title track, and the music just jumps off the platter - Art Taylor on drums in particular. The guy plays like an unleashed tornado. Sonny Clark's piano sounds full and joyful. Doug Watkin's bass is bouncy and articulate. Just an amazing album all around.
Album cleaned on a VPI 16.5, stored in inner/outer Mofi sleeves.
Playback was always using either a Sumiko BPS or Audio Technica VM740ML.
