Description

Here we have the 1964 Lee Morgan original MONO vinyl LP record album, The Sidewinder.  This is an original vinyl LP release and NOT a modern reissue.  Blue Note catalog number 4157.  Upon visual inspection, the record is very clean with only very minor scuff marks with no severe scratches.  I’ve also listened to the album and was very impressed with the sound!  The record has “Van Gelder” stampers, as well as the early “EAR” etching.  The sleeve has some slight discoloration and edge-wear, but is in otherwise good condition for its age.  Also note that the previous owner placed small labels on the front & back album sleeve, as well as on the record center.  This is still a very nice copy of this sought after jazz classic!  Please see the pictures for additional details, as this is the exact record & sleeve you will receive.  Please no international bidders, as I ship within the U.S. only.  Thanks.

All of my records are placed in clear plastic sleeves and packaged carefully in sturdy cardboard record mailers, including protective cardboard inserts on each side.  Feel free to take a look at my feedback!

Also, please be aware of the age of these records. Seldom do records sound pristine & flawless when they are 40 to 50 years old – it’s just the nature of the medium.   I am selling numerous records and certainly do not have time to listen to every single LP before listing them here; but I will note if I indeed have play tested them.

Please note that while I do collect and love vinyl records, I am by no means an expert in grading them.  I will attempt to describe the condition of the album the best I can.  Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have; I want your auction & bidding experience to be a pleasant one.  Please check out my other auctions for more records you may be interested in.  Good luck!
