Description

Lee Morgan "One Of a Kind"

with Harold Mabern, Jymie Merritt, Mickey Roker, Benny Maupin (not Billy Harper as listed on LP)

This recording was released on Trip Records in 1974 and is almost impossible to find today. These unauthorized recordings come from Morgan's 1970 set at the Lighthouse in Hermosa Beach, CA.  The audio quality, of course, is less than Blue Note Records. Both of the tunes on "One of a Kind" are extended versions of Lee's classic tune, Ceora.     Neither version of Ceora from this LP is included in the expansive 12 LP set "Live at the Lighthouse" on Blue Note. Therefore, this LP is for the "completist"-- the kind of listener of who desires to own the entire discography of this master trumpeter, who was "One Of a Kind."

Being a collector myself, I understand the great importance of accurate product listings, professional packing, and fast shipping.

International customers are welcome!!!
