Description
Blue Note Records BNLP 1578 (mono) - Lee Morgan - The Cooker LP released in 1958. This is an original first pressing. There is a deep groove indentation under the label on both sides of the record. Stamped in the dead wax are the initials RVG and the ear symbol. There is NOT a registered symbol (R) under the E in NOTE on the labels. The address on the labels is Blue Note Records 47 West 63rd NYC.
<p>Personnel is Pepper Adams, baritone sax; Lee Morgan, trumpet; Bobby Timmons, piano, Paul Chambers bass; Philly Joe Jones, drums.
<p>The condition of the record is VG. There are audible ticks on the first track on side 2. The rest of the record plays VG+. The laminated cover is VG + with a small rubber stamp on the back (see scan). There is some yellowing of the paper on the back cover. The seams and spine are tight and unbroken. The address on the back cover is Blue Note Records Inc., 43 West 61st St., New York 23.
