Some say that it is a heritage, Others may describe it as a hobby. Business may categorize it as entertainment, Professionals may call it a business. The opinions are as varied as the participants. It is music, but yet it is more than any other kind of music. It says more than any other music says, It does more than any other music does. It reaches where no other music reaches. It reaches down into that part of man which is eternal...the Soul. Yes, it is unmistakeably...Gospel Music. The "Joyful Notes" present to you their joy, peace, anticipation, power, and their desires in this selection of songs. Four of these songs were written by their lead singer Homer Thurman, including the title song "Homecoming Day". Homer is joined by his wife, Margaret, and also my personal friend, and neighbor, Earl Austin, to complete the "JoyfulNotes". It is a blessing to be aquainted with these folks, and I am assured this album will be a blessing to you. /? At long last a dream has really come true. I have always wanted to do an album, and have also wanted to put in words some of my own feelings. So you can see why we are so happy, and excited to present to you this our first album, and also introduce to you four songs the Lord has blessed me with in recent months. I was blessed to have had a father who was a minister, and shall always be glad I did what I could to help with the singing in his church work. I was also blessed when the Lord called my son into the ministry. You see the Lord didn't call me, as such, but I have always felt a special calling to lift up Jesus in song. When my daughter got married, my wife and I sang as a duet, until Earl was introduced to us. We are gladthat Earl came our way, he hasjust fitted in so well. Earl lovesgospel music and ithasbeena part of his life, asithasours. He has supplied the third part that has been missing, and we are proud to have him as a member of the group. The "Joyful Notes" present this album to you "personally", our many friends, and hope there is a song in this selection "Just for you". From "The Austin" and "The Thurman" family we say, "God Bless".
