Lennie Richards and the Nomads - Teem Twist RARE Promotional EP (Pepsi Canada) - MINT, N.O.S.
Outstanding, pristine, new old stock copy of the Teem Twist EP by Lennie Richards and the Nomads released in 1962 by Startime and Pepsi-Cola Canada to promote Teem Soda. It comes in its original unaddressed mailing envelope that pictures a six-pack of Teem Soda. This copy is as good as you will ever find so don't miss your opportunity to add it to your record or advertising collection.

Side two: Team Twist No. 2 (Nomads) / Slow Twistin' (Mr 5 by 5)
In 1962, Edmonton radio station CJCA released a four-song EP which featured The Nomads with Lennie Richards as lead singer who recorded two songs for Teem, a lemon-lime drink for Pepsi-Cola Canada Ltd. The first song was titled Teem Twist No. 1 and the second song was titled Teem Twist No. 2 ,both songs were written by Nomads' trumpet player Garry McDonall.
Teem Twist No. 1 and Teem Twist No. 2 are a pair of teen, twist rockers and the lyrics are about the virtues of Pepsi-Colas' lemon-lime drink, Teem.
Musically, Teem Twist No. 1 is a melodic fast-tempo teen rocker with smooth vocals from Lennie Richards, good musical backing from The Nomads including a hot tenor sax solo from Orest Urchak, driving bass, drums and nicely understated backing vocals from The Nomads.
Teem Twist No. 2 with fine vocals from Lennie Richards further extolls the virtues of twistin' with Pepsi-Colas' Teem drink with sax, bass, drums and hot guitar solo from lead guitarist Bob Clarke.
Peppermint Twist recorded by Edmonton's Frankie Lee and The Fantasies is a hot cover of Joey Dee's 1961 classic twist rocker which follows the original fairly closely with good vocals from Frankie Lee, sax, driving bass, drums, keyboards, good guitar work including a hot solo and excellent backing vocals from The Fantasies. No mention of Teem in the lyrics of this hot rocker.
Slow-Twistin' recorded by Edmonton's Mr 5 by 5 is a hot cover of Chubby Checker and Dee Dee Sharp's 1962 hit with great call-and-response vocals, a sultry sax solo, driving bass, drums and might have been a hit if released on its own merits."
