JOHN LENNON & YOKO ONO - 'WEDDING ALBUM'
UK 1969 1st PRESSING - 100% COMPLETE
This box set is 100% complete and UK made.
It contains all the following genuine & original components:
'The Press' booklet containing prints of many John & Yoko related press cuttings.
'The Wedding' 2-sided photo poster
John & Yoko drawn 2-sided poster
Wedding cake picture
'Bagism' white plastic bag, photo-strip & postcard
N.B. The spine of this box does not carry the catalogue number on its side, unlike the U.S. box which did.
CONDITIONBox Lid: GOOD
Box tray: VERY GOOD +
Incredibly difficult to find intact, this example has survived in respectable shape.
As you can see the box lid is fairly clean overall but displays some discolouration and storagwear marking.
Three corners have split and there is a 4cm tear to the lower right edge but no other major signs of damage.
The marriage certificate on the underside of the lid is unblemished and in MINT condition.
The lower tray is fully intact with no damage or splits to the corners, just some unavoidable storagewear rubbing to the base.
All Inserts: EXCELLENT
All are complete and fully intact with just light handling wear but no tears, writing or any other major faults.
DiscThe SAPCOR 11 LP on the dark green Apple label, housed within an outer laminated gatefold cover.
Matrix numbers: SAPCOR 11A-1 & SAPCOR 11B-1
Stamper numbers: 1/P & 1/P
Disc weight: 155g
Both are 'as new' with just one or two tiny spindle trails around each centre-hole.
Visual: NEAR MINT
Both surfaces are 'as new' & unmarked in strong daylight with just a few faint inner-sleeve storage marks directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp.
Audio: NEAR MINT
This copy has received just one or possible two careful plays and is without any audible faults or wear throughout.
Cover: VERY GOOD +
This strong and clean example has some toning to the laminated areas but is otherwise bright & glossy.
The delicate front leaf has two small tears towards the lower right corner but no other wear or creasing.
The rear panel is again clean & glossy but with a small tear to the upper right corner and a bump to the lower left.
There is a small area of laminate lift toward the lower right near the spine but is it is fully worded and unsplit.
The inside of the gatefold is perfectly clean & white with no marks or writing anywhere.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT
Crisp & white with just a few light handling wrinkles but no writing, splits or tears.
- Strict & grading under strong daylight & directly beneath a halogen desk lamp based on UK 'RECORD COLLECTOR' standards.
